The ITTF Foundation is leading the celebration and making the process as socially inclusive as possible. The ultimate goal of the celebration is to get as many people involved in table tennis as possible.
This year has been undoubtedly one of the most difficult for our community, and yet we remain determined to bring everyone together – in socially distant ways – and maintain the quintessence of World Table Tennis Day.
In order to improve the participation rate of women and girls in table tennis, WTTD focuses on shedding light on the need for equal human rights and the difficult situation in which young girls and women suffer.
In the times of COVID-19, Reports suggest Unfortunately, violence and oppression against women has increased. So the fight for equal basic human rights does not just affect women; everyone, including men and boys, needs to be involved.
How can you join the cause at WTTD 2021?
- Stay in the know, flatten the curve.
- Virtual celebration – for those where COVID-19 is still present.
- Physical celebration – for those who are allowed to host an event.
