Last weekend, the Kukkiwon, in partnership with WTMU, hosted an event in Chicago, Illinois to train masters, grandmasters and instructors. We are grateful for promoting the training of martial artists and TaeKwon-Do people around the world.
The Kukkiwon is known for its standards and criteria for providing excellent training information. The Kukkiwon’s demonstration teams are of the highest caliber with very thorough training and execution.
We have admonished the Kukkiwon to hold this training event. The information is extremely valuable, but we also need to help our schools when they need it most. All schools around the world are struggling and we need to think about that.
We would also like to congratulate all Grand Masters, Masters and Instructors who received their training and went through the process of becoming a good TaeKwon-Do person.
Above is a screenshot of the cost of certification. You can the WTMU Kukkiwon document here.
We have received some complaints from the TaeKwon-Do world that these events are too expensive. Times are not normal and the martial arts world needs help. $ 400 plus hotel and travel expenses is way too much for our instructors. Many schools cannot even afford the bare minimum. Please Kukkiwon, try to help our instructors as best you can.
As all martial artists know, schools have been destroyed by the effects of the coronavirus. Half of the 23,000 TaeKwon-Do schools in the US have been closed since the pandemic began. We ask you, Kukkiwon, to help anyway. Help our new teachers if you can.
